The term gender budget indicates the integration of the dimension of gender in a company's budgeting cycle, from the phase of planning to that of reporting, passing through operations.#In Italy, the phenomenon of the gender budget has principally taken hold at the level of local public entities, and only recently, has affected the reporting of the state and some universities.#Having gender-disaggregated information remains one of the main elements for the implementation and institutionalization of gender budgets. This data is indispensable to produce a context analysis, develop analyses of gender impacts on budget decisions, and disclose the results achieved in terms of gender parity outside of the strict perimeter of the public administration.
