The Magic Circle of Xi Jinping
In the spring, Xi Jinping will be confirmed as the president of the People’s Republic of China, and what was decided last October for the structure of the Party will also be applied to the leadership of the state. Two exceptional events characterized the 20th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party: one three days from the opening, when a person displayed a protest banner in Beijing; and the other at the closing, when former president Hu Jintao was taken away from the Party in front of the television cameras. Otherwise, everything went as planned. Xi Jinping is more and more powerful, and he has placed his allies in all of the key positions.
