A strategic sector capable of addressing the challenges of agribusiness, Vertical Farming (VF) has attracted the interest of numerous investors. However, after the initial phase of hype, there followed a significant series of disinvestments that led to cutbacks and reorganizations. This is a rather common situation in venture capital investments linked to new technologies, which often lack the capacity to analyze the economic sustainability of innovative startups. The renewed interest in climate tech, however, could revitalize the sector.
