The Great Bet of Sustainability
The attention dedicated to issues linked to sustainability by the leaders of the largest multinationals has grown enormously in recent years, testifying to the weight these issues have taken on today at the highest levels of decision-making and corporate governance. Values, personal convictions, and vision, comprehension of global dynamics, the ability to involve the entire organization and the stakeholders; these are some of the characteristics adopted by different leaders to position their companies coherently with respect to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
The possibility to fully seize the opportunities linked to sustainability in terms of value created and shared is linked to the ability to modify corporate business models. This is an extremely complex challenge that requires courage, perseverance, and original thinking.
