Electric transition between the present and the future

In the last 20 years, Italy has gone from an electricity system is based on large production plants, to a structure with rapid growth of renewable sources, in particular wind and solar, and a gradual drop in thermoelectric capacity. In this context, Terna has identified some lines of action, including strengthening its commitment on the network and on interconnections abroad to increase the infrastructure grid, scheduling investments of 6.2 billion euros.
