From the conversion of entire departments or facilities into intensive or semi-intensive care units to making personnel available, from an intensive activity of procurement to the activation of various telemedicine services, in the past two years private operators have provided a precious contribution, in organizational-managerial terms, for the management of the pandemic emergency. However, some of these operators find themselves in an external context that is much more unpredictable than in the past, and have difficulty achieving lasting economic sustainability.
