La crisi bancaria scoppiata quattro anni fa sarà ricordata per la sua intensità e per la sua diffusione su scala mondiale, per la rapidità con la quale si è manifestata e sviluppata ma anche per la velocità dei risanamenti effettuati e per la determinazione con cui i governi e i responsabili delle banche in crisi hanno rimesso in sesto aziende drammaticamente dissestate. Il processo di risanamento non è concluso e il dibattito sulle cose da fare per costruire un ambito normativo capace di evitare il ripetersi dei drammi vissuti nel triennio 2007-2009 non ha ancora portato a soluzioni concrete. È tuttavia possibile tentare un primo bilancio di ciò che è accaduto e vedere qual è oggi la situazione delle banche nel mondo e in Italia e quali sono gli scenari che stanno loro di fronte.

PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT OF THE 2007-2009 BANKING CRISIS#The banking crisis that erupted four years ago will be remembered for its intensity and its worldwide spread, for the rapidity with which it manifested itself and developed, but also for the speed of the remediation undertaken and the determination with which governments and managers of banks in crisis have helped turn around companies in great distress. The turnaround is not yet complete and the debate on what to do to build a legal framework capable of preventing the recurrence of the drama experienced in 2007-2009 has not yet led to concrete solutions. However, attempting a preliminary assessment of what occurred is feasible while also considering the situation of banks in the world and in Italy today as well as the scenarios they face in the future.
