Whistleblowing: Healthy Businesses Thanks to Employees
The word “whistleblowing” identifies the action of reporting illegal, unethical or improper activities, or activities that can have a negative impact on employees or the company, whether public or private, in any sector.
The introduction of whistleblowing in businesses marks a significant cultural change. Thanks to whistleblowing, companies can count on active help in the future from their employees, clients, suppliers and in general all stakeholders to identify and uproot improper conduct and thus contribute to keeping the business healthy, maintaining a good, solid reputation, and at the same time improving the reputation of the countries in which those companies operate. Companies that have still not adopted an effective whistleblowing system should begin a reflection internally aimed at defining the introduction of the practice .
