The case of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics demonstrates that the importance of large events, in addition to the sense of belonging and national and local pride, includes the revival of sports and mountain areas, environmental and social values, and public-private cooperation; all strategic tools to support tourist supply chains.
