The starting point is a simple comparison between two numbers. The latest Final Considerations by Fabio Panetta, Governor of the Bank of Italy, contain the expressions “inflation” or “economic growth” – by now classically associated with the mission of a modern central bank – a total of sixteen times, while the expression “artificial intelligence” appears no fewer than thirty-seven times.
