Geopolitics: an asset for small and medium-sized enterprises
Geopolitical analysis is often regarded as a luxury reserved for large multinationals, equipped with resources to absorb functions not directly tied to production. Yet this perspective overlooks the transformative potential geopolitics can have in smaller organizations. For medium and small enterprises, introducing such a function is not a marginal adjustment but a genuine strategic choice, capable of reshaping structures, decision-making processes, and long-term competitiveness. Far from being superfluous, geopolitics can become an intangible asset, empowering leaders to navigate uncertainty and generate sustainable value. An excerpt from the book "Geopolitics for Business – Rethinking Strategy in Post-Global Markets" by Marco Valigi (Egea, 2025).
