The ECB has announced that the project to create the new European electronic currency - complementary to existing currencies - is progressing. However, to ensure that the outcome is truly effective, it will not be enough to achieve the highest standards of usability, purchasing power protection, and privacy. It will also be necessary to focus on financial education, especially for the younger generation, so that all citizens can appreciate its benefits.
