The transformation of work that we are experiencing is radical and requires new managerial tools to govern it. It does not automatically generate well-being, productivity or equity. On the contrary, it may exacerbate gender, generational, educational and socioeconomic inequalities. For this reason, there is an urgent need to intentionally design and monitor the quality of work within companies and throughout their value chains. This approach must be widespread rather than elitist, encompassing all types of work. We are called upon to rethink jobs, organizational structures, evaluation systems and objectives to ensure the joint creation of economic and social value and preserve the social dimension of business.
